My dear friend Jan Ruskin posted this to my Facebook page. Chalk drawn Mandalas on the sidewalk! They are beautiful works of art that will only last a very short time, and yet make such a lasting impression. These women know that their art is fleeting, that people will walk on them, they will be washed away by the rain, that they will eventually disappear, and yet they will do it again. What a practice in surrender and letting go!
I am also practicing surrender in a much smaller way. Where as before after finishing my Mandalas I put them in an album, and put the album away, now I am releasing them and allowing them to leave my life and opening the way for them to enter someone else’s.
